Foundation of the European Jazz Competition (NL)
The Foundation of the European Jazz Competition is set up in 2006 and based in Amsterdam the Netherlands.
The main goal of the foundation is to increase the artistic, social and promotional development of young European Jazz talent on a global schale. Its main project is the partnership in the EBU European Jazz Competition. In cooperation with the North Sea Jazz Festival the foundation is responsable for funding and organising the finals of the competition.
The foundation consists of:
Anita Verheggen: charmain of the foundation and manager of the jazz departement of the biggest musician union in the Netherlands, the Ntb)
Michelle Kuypers: artistic director of the North Sea Jazz Festival
Dick Kuijs: independent producer
Paul Hofmeister: secretary of the foundation and legal counselor
